  • Personal Information Provided by You: We collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, usernames, passwords, contact preferences, billing addresses, debit/credit card numbers, contact or authentication data, employment résumés and cover letters, and other similar information.
  • Payment Data: We collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number (e.g., credit card number) and the security code associated with your payment instrument. We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity. Still, it may include device and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information.

  • Log and Usage Data: Our servers automatically collect service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information when you access or use our Services.
  • Device Data: Information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the Services.
  • Location Data: Information about your device's location which can be either precise or imprecise. The amount of information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Services.

  • Performance of a Contract: Where we have entered into a contract with you, we may process your personal information to fulfill the terms of our agreement.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
  • Vital Interests: We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

We are not responsible for the safety of any information you share with DoD SkillBridge Authorized Organziations and third-party providers who advertise but are not affiliated with our Platform.

9. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We may retain your personal information for a period of time consistent with the original purpose of collection. For instance, we may retain your personal information when you have an account to use our Platform or Services, or as agreed in our subscription agreements, and for a reasonable period thereafter. We also may retain your personal information during the period needed to pursue our legitimate business interests, conduct audits, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

10. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

11. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

By using our Platform, Services, and Marketing Activities, you expressly consent to collect and use your personal information in compliance with this Privacy Policy. This does not affect lawful processing under applicable laws based on other legal basis such as contractual obligation, compliance with applicable laws, and legitimate purposes.

If you receive a marketing communication or promotion from us, you may opt out of these communications at any time (i) by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the promotion (if sent by email), (ii) through Account Settings page, (iii) by accessing the email preferences in your account settings page in the Services user interface dashboard, or (iv) sending us an email at the address noted in the Contact Information section below.

11.1 Right to Access or Correct Personal Information

You have the right to access and correct your personal information. If you want to review or correct your personal information, you can log in to the appropriate Platform or Service and visit your account profile page, typically designated as “Account Settings”, or you may send us an email at the address noted in the Contact Information section above.

11.2 Right to Delete Personal Information (“Right to be Forgotten”)

You have the right to request the deletion of personal information we hold about you, and we have the obligation to erase your personal information where:

  • the personal information is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed,
  • you withdraw consent on which the processing is based and where there is no other legal ground for the processing,
  • you object to the processing, and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing,
  • the personal information has been unlawfully processed or
  • Personal information has to be erased to comply with a legal obligation in the European Union or a Member State law to which we are subject.

In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know that we cannot do so and why.

11.3 Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive or transfer a copy of your personal information where:

  • we are relying upon your consent or the fact that the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are party as the legal basis for the processing and
  • personal information is processed by automatic means.

This copy will be provided to you in a common machine-readable format. You may also require us to transmit it to another party where this is technically feasible.

11.4 Right to Restrict Personal Information Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal information where:

  • you contest the accuracy of the personal information until we take sufficient steps to correct or verify its accuracy,
  • where the processing is unlawful, but you do not want us to erase the personal information,
  • where we no longer need the personal information for the purposes of the processing, but you require the information for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims or
  • where you have objected to processing justified on legitimate interest grounds (see below) pending verification as to whether we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue processing.
  • where personal information is subjected to restriction; in this way, we will only process it with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. This right includes restricting the processing of your personal information only to include storage of your personal information (e.g. when we assess whether you are entitled to have personal information erased).

11.5 Right to object to processing justified on legitimate interest grounds

Where we rely on a legitimate interest to process personal information, you have the right to object to that processing. If you object, we must stop that processing unless we can either demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms or where we need to process the personal information for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Where we rely upon legitimate interest as a basis for processing we believe that we can demonstrate such compelling legitimate grounds, but we will consider each case on an individual basis.

11.6 Right to Withdraw Consent

Where you have given us your consent to process personal information, you can withdraw such consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on that consent before its withdrawal.

  • following the unsubscribe instructions included in emails,

11.7 Right to Submit Complaints or Report Abuse

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in your country of residence, if you consider that the processing of your personal information infringes applicable laws.

11.8 California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Platform and Services that are California residents to opt-out from the disclosure of your personal information to third-parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please email us at the address in the Contact Information section below.

Please be advised that where California State residents opt-out from permitting their personal information to be shared, such individuals may still receive selected offers directly from us in accordance with applicable law.

11.3 Right to Non-Discrimination for the Exercise of a Consumer’s Privacy Rights

We will not discriminate against you if you exercise your privacy rights.

11.4 Verification Process

Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine whether you are the same person with whom we have the information in our system. These verification efforts require us to ask you to provide information so that we can match it with the information you have previously provided us. 

We will only use the personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. To the extent possible, we will avoid requesting additional information from you for the purposes of verification. If, however, we cannot verify your identity from the information we have maintained, we may request that you provide additional information to verify your identity and for security or fraud prevention purposes. We will delete such further information as soon as we finish verifying you.

11.5 Other Privacy Rights

  • You may object to the processing of your personal data
  • You may request correction of your personal data if it is incorrect or no longer relevant, or ask to restrict the processing of the data
  • You can designate an authorized agent to request the CCPA on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorized agent who does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with the CCPA.

12. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers, mobile operating systems, and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference and not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.

13. Minors

Our Platform and Services are not intended for children and/or minors. No minors may provide personal information to or on the Platform and Services.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children and/or minors. If you are a minor, do not use or provide any information on our Platform or Services, including on or through any of their features, register on the Platform or Services, make any purchases through the Platform or Services, use any of the interactive or public comment features of our Platform or Services, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child and/or minor, we will delete that information without undue delay.

14. Do We Make Updates to This Notice?

Yes, we will update this notice to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice or directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
